ODM leader Raila Odinga has been accused of double standards following his decision to back a Ford Kenya candidate for Tuesday's Kitutu Chache South parliamentary elections.
A section of social media users insist that he should have remained neutral in the race that involves four aspirants from NASA coalition.
"He is a leader and has never met all those contesting. Importantly, he has never approached ODM candidate at all," said Evans Monari on Kisii Facebook Group.
Christine Monchari added: "It is really wrong to make decisions without consulting those on the ground. This is one of his major weaknesses and it is unacceptable."
On Friday, Odinga backed Richard Onyonka of Ford Kenya despite the participation of Sam Omwando, who also doubles as ODM Kisii branch chairman.
Despite the sad news, Omwando said, ODM will work hard to deliver the seat that has attracted five candidates from major parties.
"I don't need him to win and he has a right to support whoever he deems fit. I am determined to deliver the seat for my party."
