Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has yet again urged youths to register in numbers ahead of 2017 polls.
Odinga also challenged leaders from his strongholds to organize voter sensitization exercises to increase the number of registered voters.
Speaking in Waondo village during the commemoration of former Homabay senator Otieno Kajwang, the ODM leader also noted the high number of youths who have not been issued with National Identification Cards.
“My appeal to all youths is that you have to register to make a real change in this country. Change cannot come without you going to the registration centre and doing the necessary,” he said.
Odinga added: “I have talked to leaders from various regions to facilitate registration even though it is continuous. We also have those who are supposed to apply for national IDs and I hope they do so soon.”
Last week, a letter sent to all ODM elected members called for massive voter registration in opposition strongholds.
