Political analyst Dismas Mokua says ODM leader Raila Odinga could be a president with few MPs, a treason why he could be vulnerable to opposition team.
Odinga was named NASA flag bearer a fortnight ago and will face President Uhuru Kenyatta in August polls.
But Mokua says botched ODM nominations would significantly affect the party’s strength in general elections adding that he will be ‘defenseless’.
“He has a very high chance of being president but he could miss a sizeable following of MPs which is critical. He will be very vulnerable to opposition team,” he said.
“ODM nominations especially in his stronghold were carelessly handled and we could have many independent candidates winning. They will revenge on him should they go to parliament,” he added.
A number of cases presented to ODM tribunal have since been handled although many losers’ feels cheated through the process.
Among those who have since joined independent candidates team include Jakoro Midiwo, Jim Akali, Caroli Omondi among others.
