Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka insists opposition leader Raila Odinga will not be on ballot in 2022 presidential elections.

Having supported Odinga for a record three times, Kalonzo is set to deputize Odinga in the October presidential elections repeat as he prepares for 2022 polls.

And in what is seen as an assurance for Kamba leaders, Kalonzo maintained that he will be running for president.

“I want to assure you my brother Odinga will not be on ballot. We have talked about it and we agreed that he will be supporting me,” he told a host of Ukambani leaders on Monday.

The Wiper leader added:”Let us work as a team and deliver for NASA so that we can have the rewards in 2022. This is real.”

Detailed of Kalonzo and Odinga’s MoU that led to the birth of NASA shows that 2017 is the last realistic chance for the veteran leader to lead Kenya.

At his Ukambani backyard, Kalonzo is facing resistance from a section of leaders who have been leading a rebellion in the region.
