Opposition leader Raila Odinga will only accept defeat should President Uhuru Kenyatta promise that he will not rig elections, says James Orengo.
The Siaya senator is a close confident and legal advisor of both Mr. Odinga and the entire opposition team NASA.
Recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta challenged the opposition leader to commit himself to the outcome of August polls.
“I want to tell Uhuru that Odinga cannot commit to the outcome of the result before he assures the nation that he will not rig the election,”Orengo Said on Saturday in Vihiga.
He added: “The people who work with IEBC to rig elections cannot lecture us on what to do. We will not condone any rigging this time around.”
The opposition team piled pressure on IEBC to conduct free, fair and transparent elections after the polls body lost its appeal on declaration of results at the Appellate Court.
Earlier, Odinga accused the government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of allegedly training the Military to rig elections in August.
