NASA leader Raila Odinga over the weekend revealed his relationship with Elgeyo marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who is a Jubilee diehard.
The two attended the burial of Willy Kalebus who was the father of ODM national deputy treasurer Ogla Karani, in Chebai.
It is at this event that Odinga revealed how he has mentored Murkomen in politics, as well as helping other budding politicians in the area.
“Murkomen is my political child. I stayed with him and found out he is a brilliant political mind. I gave him a job to teach Kenyans about devolution,” he said.
He further said that he advised Murkomen to run for the political seat using the URP Party, which was later folded and forms part of Jubilee, as he stood better chances of winning.
Murkomen has been a fierce critic of Odinga in the recent past, with both leaders’ representing different coalitions.
The recent agreement between president Kenyatta and Odinga seems to have softened Murkomen and other Jubilee leaders, who now seem to be warming up to the NASA leader.
