Major fallout is looming in Orange Democratic Movement part in Nyamira County, a region that is keenly being monitored by Jubilee administration ahead of Monday’s primaries.
Having overwhelmingly voted for the opposition in 2013, Mr. Raila Odinga is also keen to consolidate his support in the region for this year’s elections.
ODM scooped both governorship, Women Representative, three MPs and only missed out senatorial and Borabu parliamentary seat.
But despite a host of aspirants receiving direct nominations from Gusii region, Nyamira gubernatorial seat will be litmus test for the party with two bigwigs facing each other in Primaries.
While inclement John Nyagarama is trading on his infrastructural development and perceived loyalty within the party, West Mugirango MP James Gesami, who also doubles as Nyamira branch ODM chair, is confident of clinching the ticket.
Already, Gesami camp is accusing Mr. Nyagarama of compromising officials at Orange House to influence voting pattern, a claim which the Governor has since denied.
However, on Tuesday the county boss was reportedly spotted at the Orange House with his mission remaining unclear.
