Farah Maalim, the Wiper Democratic Movement Vice Chairperson says President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory will be upheld based on ‘interest’ of the nation.
On Monday, Supreme Court judges will make a ruling on whether Uhuru was validly elected in presidential repeat poll which was widely boycotted by the opposition.
But in a shocking revelation on NTV morning Show, Maalim, a close associate of Rail Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka, said Uhuru should now find mechanisms of looking for NASA team for dialogue.
“The ruling is already known and I don’t think judges will subject Kenyans to another election in two months,” he said.
Maalim added: “Just like Judge George Odunga on Returning Officers, judges will weigh the common interest of the society and may even advise the two political protagonists to dialogue.”
Despite his shocking prediction however, Chief Justice David Maraga had warned that he would nullify presidential elections should he find ‘illegalities and irregularities’ on IEBC.
Already, chaos has rocked most parts of the country with at least five people dying on Saturday at the city suburbs on Mathare.
