Economists David Ndii’s remarks about a possible post election violence should President Uhuru Kenyatta be declared a winner in August polls has drowned sharp reaction from Kenyans.

In his Tweet, Ndii said that the country will plunge into chaos should Kenyatta be pronounced winner in a sham election.

According to him, the country is not ready for a Kenyatta presidency which he accused of plundering resources through massive corruption.

“There will be chaos if Uhuru is declared president in a sham election. Kenya must respect the rule of law by accepting the will of people. Uhuru has lost this election,” read the tweet.

He later defended his remarks:” I mean that IEBC should ensure credible election to reduce tension that is building up.”

The man who poked hole into the controversial Euro bond proceeds is among the technical team that is leading ODM campaigns.

Both opposition leaders Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are embroiled in a tough tussle that would see them face each other for the second time in as many years.
