Morgan Tsvangirai, a close Odinga ally, is tipped to become the next Prime Minister of Zimbabwe as the process aimed at removing Robert Mugabe from power gains momentum.
Mr. Tsvangirai who has been battling cancer returned to the country fueling speculation that the ruling ZANU PF party would reach some kind of arrangement with the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).
Speaking to supporters today in Harare, the opposition leader called for a democratic process that will involve all Zimbabweans.
''A democratic Zimbabwe is not going to be built by another undemocratic process. Continuation of ZANU PF policies and culture must stop.'' Tsvangirai said.
The military took over from Mr. Mugabe and has been trying to negotiate the veteran leader's exit from power.
