Opposition leader Raila Odinga has termed the decision by Hassan Omar and John Mruttu to join Jubilee as ‘regrettable and betrayal’.
Along with a host of other NASA leaders, the two are the latest bigwigs to ditch opposition for Jubilee, a move which Odinga terms as ‘money oriented’.
In a speech at Jacaranda Avenue on Monday, Odinga however said other Kenyans will continue pushing for the reform agenda.
“Jubilee had set aside money to lure NASA people to create an impression that people are ditching our coalition. Some of us have fallen trap into that.
“Though it’s their right to go, we shall continue pushing for reform agenda. I am aware of millions of Kenyans who cannot succumb to money from corrupt Jubilee government,” he said.
Although he insisted that he will not participate in October elections, Odinga maintained that his zeal to rescue Kenyans from the ‘bondage’ of slavery remains intact.
Other than the two, NASA is also expected to suffer more blows with former Kajiado Governor David Nkedienye expected to join Jubilee on Tuesday.
