President Uhuru Kenyatta is likely to be declared the winner of Tuesday’s election any moment from now if all factors remain constant.
Results reflected in the IEBC portal shows that Uhuru is still on the lead with over 54 percent of votes cast while Odinga is trailing at 44 percent.
There are minimal chances that Odinga 72 will be declared the president owing to the fact that he had dismissed the outcome.
And Prof Ondigi Abaya says the outcome will determine Odinga’s next cause of action adding that he is likely to make difficult decisions.
“It it one of defining moments for him given that the results do not favour him. He has tried four times and this is the time to hung boots.
“He has a repetition and if he disagrees with the outcome, courts will be the next stop for him. That is the only thing he can do which is constitutional,” he added.
Multiple interviews with media indicate that Odinga is not likely to go to court, having maintained the position during his rallies.
Should Uhuru Kenyatta be declared President, Odinga will have just a week to compile a presidential petition in the Supreme Court.
