The National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga expressed his gratitude to the family of his long-time friend and Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Morgan Tsvangirai's for the warm reception they accorded him during the burial of Tsvangirai.
Tsvangirai, 65, died on Wednesday last week lat a hospital in South Africa where he had been undergoing treatment for colon cancer.
He was buried on Tuesday February 20, in his rural home in Buhera.
Speaking after the funeral, Raila wished well Tsvangirai's party (MDC) and also to the citizens of Zimbabwe.
"Bidding farewell to my late brother Morgan Tsvangirai's family and thanking them for the hospitality they accorded us during this solemn and very important occasion," said Odinga in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
"I wish the MDC and the great people of Zimbabwe success in all their future endeavours," the former prime minister added.
Odinga went to Zimbabwe on Monday and was accompanied by Kisumu governor Anyang' Nyong'o.
He was later joined by Siaya senator James Orengo and Businessman man Jimmy Wanjigi.
