Political analyst Gideon Mamboleo says opposition leader Raila Odinga has changed his tactic that could yet again catch President Uhuru Kenyatta unaware before October elections.

The two political protagonists are set to meet again in another epic battle for the third time in less than five years.

But Mamboleo says that Odinga might hide in the Supreme Court ruling and force Uhuru to negotiation table in his quest to have some IEBC officials quiet.

“It is not as easy as people think. He has a strong backing of Supreme Court ruling and the international community may side with him this time,” he says.

The political science lecturer adds:”He will force negotiations and this would see people like Ezra Chiloba exiting through the pressure from him and other stakeholders.”

Further, he says eventually, the debacle could result to resignation of IEBC officials including Chairman Wafula Chebukati, a move that can cause constitutional crisis.

“He has set a trap and should Uhuru stand firm that elections should be held in October, Odinga’s zeal could even cause a constitutional crisis. Ultimately, his pressure on commissioners will work.”

On Tuesday, the veteran leader issued a series of demands to IEBC and should they fail to meet, Odinga may force an attention from international community to Uhuru’s surprise.
