Despite insisting that he will resort to civil disobedience to destabilize President Uhuru Kenyatta's government, opposition leader Raila Odinga could return yet again to apex court.
In unprecedented move, Odinga bolted out of the presidential race citing 'lack of reforms' in the electoral body IEBC which nonetheless, went on with the presidential repeat poll.
But a source privy to Odinga's political strategic plans says the veteran opposition leader will yet again challenge the legitimacy of the Thursday's poll in which President Uhuru Kenyatta is heading to landslide victory.
"He is a democrat and expect nothing unlawful from him. Remember elections have not been done in several regions due to resistance and this violates article 138 (2).
"And again, the turnout seems to be exaggerated a move that has even been confirmed by the IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati," said the source, adding that even the commission had admitted inability to conduct a free and fair poll.
Although he insists that he will resort to massive disobedience for force an election in 90 days time, he however says he will give his concrete plan on Monday.
Two months ago, Odinga filed a successful petition that led to annulment of president Uhuru Kenyatta's victory.
Interestingly, Odinga also kept his government guessing after indicating that he will not go to court, only to change his mind later on.
