Opposition leader Raila Odinga caught himself in unfamiliar situation on Wednesday at Changamwe Volley grounds when a group of rowdy youths interrupted his speech several times, reports the Star.
The youths, mostly of supporters of local MP Omar Mwinyi and his rival mainly identified as Bernard exchanged in presence of Odinga uncontrollably.
Odinga, who was winding up his two days tour in the coast could not manage simmering political temperatures, prompting Mombasa Governor to take over and calm the crowd.
"We understand that there as so many people looking for elective seats, but today soley is for our party leader,"Joho said.
He stylish Governor threatened to eject the rowdy youths as security guards tried to repulse them.
"Bring those banners and posters including those bearing my photos. You need to be quiet and listen," said a visibly angry Odinga.
The youths are said to be supporting rival politicians in Jomvu and Changamwe constituencies.
