The trip made by NASA principal Raila Odinga to Zanzibar on the eve of the Supreme Court ruling is proving to be a PR nightmare for him.

The internet was broken when pictures of a young lady posing with the veteran opposition leader were widely shared on social media.

While his communication team has been hard at work trying to manage public perception by framing the trip as one where Odinga had serious discussions with leaders, the focus has been largely on the photos.

Junet Mohammed tried to do some damage control on social media by posting a photo of Raila and himself and urging NASA supporters to ignore the nonsense.

Experts would argue that for Raila to be seen posing with a ''slay queen'' at a time when supporters are waiting for him to give direction was bad public relations.

The perception created in the minds of his supporters is that their leader doesn't care about their plight.

Jubilee propagandists have seized on the photos to portray Odinga as insensitive politician who abandons his suffering supporters to have some good time .
