Amani National Congress Party has called on Opposition party ODM to withdraw its candidates eyeing various elective seats in Western Kenya ahead of the polls.
According to the ANC Secretary General Godfrey Osotsi, NASA coalition affiliate parties had sacrificed a lot for ODM and it was time for Odinga-led party to reciprocate the same.
“Our ODM counterparts should not have fielded candidates in ANC strongholds of Western, especially in Vihiga. Why should ODM compete with ANC in this region?" He posed.
Osotsi further argued that NASA was formed by his party leader Musalia Mudavadi who had shelved his presidential ambitions in favour of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
“We are campaigning and we will vote for Raila as our president, but the rest should be ANC," he said.
His remarks are likely to spark outrage from ODM, as the outfit seeks to strengthen its grip of Western Kenya.
