The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has differed with the Amani Amani National Congress (ANC) party, hours after a summit meeting involving four NASA coalition principals.
Secretary-Generals of both ODM and ANC Edwin Sifuna and Barack Muluka respectively differed on Tuesday morning over a meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader who is also ODM leader Raila Odinga.
During an interview, Sifuna said Odinga met Uhuru in his capacity as the 'People's President' and not as an individual.
This followed uproar from a section of opposition leaders who claimed Odinga betrayed three NASA coalition parties - ANC, Ford Kenya and Wiper, by meeting Uhuru without their knowledge.
According to Sifuna, the meeting involved two presidents and so there was no need to involve the other three principals - Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper).
However, Muluka dismissed Sifuna's sentiments, wondering why Odinga signed his agreement with Uhuru as 'Raila Odinga' and not 'People's President'.
He said Odinga ought to have involved his colleagues in the meeting if indeed the meeting was about the interest of Kenyans and what NASA has been advocating for.
The two continued with their differences live on TV, with Sifuna accusing Muluka of misleading Mudavadi.
"The person who sunk Musalia Mudavadi for the past two months is Barack Muluka," said Sifuna on Tuesday morning.
