ODM party leader Raila Odinga is in Mombasa on a four-day tour seen to target countering Deputy President William Ruto’s effect in the region.
This comes just days after Ruto was in the region to lure voters to side with Jubilee in the coming 2017 elections.
Speaking while making a stopover in Changamwe, Raila accused the Jubilee government of interfering with the integrated financial management information system (IFMIS) so as to steal millions of public funds.
“They have now brought something called IFMIS which they are using to steal. That is why we are telling Jubilee to keep off corruption because it has now become their other name,” Raila said.
“When they were done with the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal, they got into the health ministry and now they have brought IFMIS to continue stealing money through it,” he added.
