ODM blogger Abdullahi Musa has accused Robert Alai of being manipulated by Deputy President William Ruto’s communication officer.
In a social media post, Mr Musa, a close confidant of Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, claims that Emmanuel Talam came up with a post that appears in Alai’s Facebook account.
In that post, Alai warned Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho against fighting William Ruto, saying that the deputy president has the advantage of being deputy commander in chief.
“He's like an incumbent. He has the advantage of state terror to handle political enemies,” said Alai, who has recently directed his criticism against CORD politicians.
Musa claims that DP Ruto cannot command the military, even in the absence of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The ODM blogger goes on to accuse Alai of being funded by three prominent politicians.
“Alai also received 3Million cash through Dennis Itumbi, his school fees at USIU cleared by TNA and all his cases dropped!” Musa wrote.
Mr Alai declined to comment when contacted by this writer.
