Bomachoge Borabu Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) election results have been cancelled.
Reading a joint statement to the press on Thursday in Kisii town, ODM Kisii Electoral Board Secretary Sophia Kenyando announced the cancellation of the results, citing massive irregularities.
“There were irregularities in the Bomachoge Borabu party grassroots elections. For that matter, we have resolved to cancel the whole exercise in the constituency and have fresh elections on December 14 and 15,” Kenyando announced.
On Wednesday, the constituency returning officer Joseph Onderi amid protests declared Joseph Maaga the winner of the hotly contested elections.
He also announced Timothy Ogugu, the MCA for Magenche Ward as secretary general while his counterpart for Boochi Borabu Samuel Onukoh as the party treasurer.
