The Orange Democratic Movement Kabete candidate Wilson Karanja has conceded defeat in the just ended By-election in Kabete Constituency.
Karanja who managed to get 186 votes said that Waititu deserved to win the parliamentary seat and he has accepted the results promising to work closely with the winner.
He said that the people of Kabete have decided and he expressed his gratitude to the few who supported him during the election.
Karanja said that the people of Kabete deserve a working leader who will put their interests before his interests and he believes Waititu is capable of delivering.
The ODM candidate welcomed the new MP into the hard politics in Kiambu urging him to remain calm and not be influenced by malicious leaders who wants personal gains.
Karanja said that he was born and raised in Kabete and he understood the dirty politics in the constituency and Kiambu County in general appealing to Waititu to be vigilant or else he will not deliver.
He has urged him to focus on the Kabete constituency and his ambition to be the next governor should come later and not now since Kabete people needs a leader back at home.
Karanja who was speaking on Tuesday in a press conference urged other candidates to accept defeat and support the newly elected for the betterment of the Sub County.
He said that political wrangles should not be introduced in Kabete since the voice of the people was well heard when Waititu won with acclamation in the just concluded By-Election.
“Waititu has won with number of votes meaning the Kabete people have accepted and loved him so other candidates should accept the defeat,” said Karanja.
However the CORD candidate said his dreams of leadership is not shuttered and the people of Kabete should wait and see next election he will be n the race again.
