Starehe MP election loser Steve Mbogo of ODM is now contesting the win by Charles Njagua alias Jaguar in the August 8 poll.

Mbogo has gone to court seeking nullification of his rival's win on claims that the voting was marred by massive irregularities.

Through his lawyer Anthony Oluoch, Mbogo claimed that a number of forms 35A were not signed.

He added that the MP election did not go down according to the Constitution and election laws.

Mbogo said that Starehe parliamentary election was not conducted in an impartial, neutral efficient and accurate manner.

He contends that “the systemic manipulation and distortion of the results renders it impossible to determine who actually won the parliamentary seat,” he says.

Mbogo also accused Jaguar of intimidating and corrupting the voters to vote in his favour.
