Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, has been sent packing, according to the latest IEBC provisional results.

The Labour Party Leader, and supporer of President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election has been florred by ODM's Raphael Wanjala, a former area MP.

Wanjala got 12 339 votes (44,51%) against Namwamba's 10 550 votes (38,06%). He was followed by Andrew Nakitari at 2 942 votes (10,61%).

Known as 'Generali', Namwamba was optimistic of winning the seat, even after he broke ranks with ODM party, where he was the secretary general.

He widely campaigned for Jubilee in the constituency and larger Western Kenya region.
