Just hours to the August 8 polls, the campaigns are turning ugly in Migori county, after an ODM party candidate met the ugly scenes of campaign holiganism on Sunday.
The Rongo parliamentary candidate Mr Paul Abuor's car was damaged on Sunday evening while his wife suffered leg injuries from goons who attacked at Central Kanyamkago ward.
“I was heading home when were were attacked. This is the work of my main rival in the constituency with a history of violence,” the ODM candidate told The Star at Kamagambo police station.
He said the attackers also had crude weapons. Abuor recorded a statement at the station while his wife was taken to Rongo sub-county hospital.
