The ODM National Elections Board has said it will repeat the Busia gubernatorial nominations in only two sub-counties.

The Bard had earlier reported the exercise would be repeated in all the seven Busia sub-counties.

However, addressing the media, Monday, NEB chairperson Judith Pareno said the primaries would be conducted in Teso South and Teso North, citing massive irregularities in the two regions, alone.

“We are actually going to only repeat Teso North and Teso South. That is the decision of this board because the rest of the results were okay and we do not want to disturb the whole county just because of the purposes of this repeat,” said Pareno.

The nomination results which saw incumbent Ojaamong’ beat his political rival Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, were nullified by the board few hours after the announcement, last week.

Otuama dismissed the poll outcome saying they were doctored to favour Ojaamong' and declared himself as the winner.

Teso North and South are perceived to be strongholds of governor Ojaamong’.

Reports indicate the total numbers of votes casted in the two sub-counties were beyond the total number of registered voters in the IEBC register.

A repeat has been scheduled for, April 25.
