Kaluma and Ogada fought on 27th November at Homa Bay Stadium where the memorial of Kajwang was being marked.

The two were among seven party leaders summoned by the party's National Election Board to explain the cause of violence.

The others were Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti, woman rep Gladys Wanga, Kaipsula Kanondo MP Oyugi Magwanga and Kevin Ouma.

The seven were accused of using youths to cause disturbance by heckling Awiti and heckling and throwing stones at the Homa Bay Stadium.

"These activities have contravened the ODM Code of Conduct, which they have pledged to uphold. They are also a threat to the peaceful conduct of party primaries," ODM executive director Oduor Ong'wen said on Friday.

ODM has banned Ouma from holding any elective or appointive party office over involvement in chaos.

"These actions should serve to convey a clear message to ODM politicians, aspirants and members that the party is committed to ensuring peace at its rallies and during party primaries," Ong'wen said.
