The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has disowned the letter circulating on social media, allegedly written by deputy party leader Hassan Joho to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
In the letter, Joho seeks clarification from Musyoka on the comments by Wiper deputy leader Farah Maalim that NASA leader Raila Odinga should retire from active politics and become a kingmaker.
Through its Twitter account, however, ODM party has said that the Mombasa Governor did not author the letter or sanction its distribution.The party asked its supporters and members of the public to ignore the letter.
“The DPL @HassanAliJoho has not written and or sanctioned any letter to our coalition partner @WiperMovement. The letter doing rounds on social media is fake and which is intended to cause a rift between the two sister parties. We urge NASA fraternity and the public to ignore it,” said the party.
