The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has yet again extended nomination dateline to allow more candidates submit their papers.
This is the second time the orange party is extending the dateline after giving aspirants lifeline in November 30th 2016.
In a statement from Elections Board chair, all aspirants will have ten more days to comply with basic regulations.
“Due to large queues experienced in the final day, we have decided to extend it (submissions) for ten more days so that no one is locked out,” said Judy Pareno.
“We want to give everyone an equal opportunity to compete in the party as we look for our flag bearers. We are optimistic that the ODM family is giving everyone opportunities to try their luck,” she added.
ODM will be holding its party primaries in February and March to give room for complainants to file petitions with the party’s election tribunal.
