The Orange democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy party leader Ali Hassan Joho will flag off 47 branded buses which will provide transport to party delegates from all over Kenya to participate in the party's "10 At 10 jamboree.
Joho, had indicated that the party will hold its 10 years celebration scheduled for Saturday in a move aimed at countering the Jubilee party launch which will be on the same day.
Jubilee has already lined up a flurry of activities on that day and hired a posh building as its headquarters. It has also hired more than 47 Prado vehicles branded with Jubilee colours.
As part of the arrangements for the extravaganza, the ODM directorate, Joho said will have an event to flag off 47 ODM branded busses from Mombasa to each of the 47 counties.
According to ODM's director of elections and campaigns Junet Mohammed, out of their deep belief in the cause, several party supporters have donated personal vehicles also totalling to 823 nationally which will converge in Mombasa.
"These vehicles will be branded to comb the entire country mobilising and rallying the people around our 2017 agenda," said Mohammed in a statement.
Upon arrival of the Party Leader Raila Odinga on Friday, there will be a series of roadshows as what is expected to be thousands of delegates from all over Kenya will assemble to welcome him to the county which still supports Mr Odinga.
Mohammed said on Friday evening, the deputy party leader shall host a private reception in honour of Mr Odinga and Mama Ida Odinga where 450 MCAs, 110 MPs, 18 senators and at least 10 governors have confirmed attendance.
"A team of expert bakers have been tasked to prepare a giant cake for guests to commemorate the event.
On Saturday, we will hold a grand convention of the party where a ground-shaking political announcement shall be made," said Mohammed, who is also Suna East MP.
In the evening, there shall be a celebratory procession on Mama Ngina drive where international award-winning music artist Diamond will jet in from the US to entertain guests in what is billed to be an evening to remember not just for Mombasa but Kenyan at large.
The night will conclude with a dramatic fireworks display that promises to leave Kenyans breathless.
All aspirants for all positions including MCAs, MPs, Senators and Governors are invited to attend.
