A section of youths have warned Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama against attending People's Assembly rally later this month.

For days now, Nyagarama has been subjected to criticism following his condemnation on planned inauguration, a claim he has persistently dismissed.

"I was misquoted out of context. I only called for dialogue just like many of my fellow leaders," he said.

At Meru over the weekend, Nyagarama was quoted by a section of media for terming inauguration 'unrealistic'.

And in Kisii on Monday, leaders led by ex-Bassi MCA Isaac Ogeto, warned Nyagarama against attending the rally slated on January 28 at Gusii stadium.

"He is unwelcome and we are ready to deal with him if he attempts to attend the rally at Kisii. He is a big letdown.

"He must ensure Nyamira passes the People's Assembly motion if at all he plans to attend. Otherwise, he remains banned," he said.

Despite NASA's numerical strength in the assembly, the bill has not yet been passed with supporters accusing Nyagarama of sabotage.

Nyamira County leaders are expected to attend the assembly gathering at Kisii since the event has been amalgamated.
