Despite promising to convene an emergency meeting with MCAs to strike a deal on passing of People's Assembly, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama is yet to comply.

Following public outcry by a section of NASA supporters, Nyagarama, who is serving his second term, insisted that the assembly  would pass the motion before 2018.

But with just hours to end year, no special sitting has been called by the NASA controlled assembly.

Despite assurance by Majority Leader Duke Masira, Nyamira still remains one of the NASA county that is yet to adopt the Bill which is crucial in Raila's plans for protests and civil disobedience.

Last week, neighbouring Kisii County became one of the two remaining Nyanza Counties to adopt the Bill, leaving Nyamira in an awkward position.

Nyagarama is facing a tough election petition which will be determined in February with analyst claiming that he is playing politics with the Bill.

Initially, Nyagarama has claimed that he was yet to get copies of the Bill, an excuse which was rubbished by ODM Chief Executive Oduor Ongwen.
