Corrupt workers have no place in the Kilifi County Government, Governor Amason Kingi has said.

Speaking during his inauguration ceremony on Monday, Kingi said he will not tolerate workers linked to the loss of public funds during his second term in government. The county boss said all the county employees must work in order to earn salaries or resign to pave way for competent ones to join his team. “You have two choices to make if you are a worker in the county government. You either think of yourself [and work] or submit your resignation letter within the next 14 days because the heat is too much. Give us space to employ people who will serve the people,” he said, as quoted by the Star. The governor also asked the Judiciary to assist him in dealing with corrupt workers in his government for better service delivery in the coming years.
