Oluoch, a former radio presenter succumbed to throat cancer on Tuesday after seven months of treatment.

And when ODM leaders visited Lee Funeral, Obado, a soft spoken governor, cried helplessly in Raila's presence, causing Facebook reactions from his constituents.

"Our governor lost someone dear. It was sad seeing him weep like a child, something that shows how he liked the deceased," said Maureen Anyango in Migori Republican Council.

Another user, Charles Omondi added: "So sad to lose a dear friend and it shows even how the governor was affected. Let us hope he will find another good senator."

Throughout the briefing, Raila also appeared emotional as he recounted how the senator suffered in hospital.

Mr. Oluoch becomes the third legislator to succumb to cancer in a span of six months after Grace Kipchoim and Francis Nyenze.
