Kisii Governor James Ongwae has dismissed claims that he was warming for Jubilee party despite his strong links with Raila Odinga's ODM.

Before postponement of Raila's swearing-in, a section of social media users had questioned his loyalty following the delay by Kisii County Assembly to pass People's Assembly Bill.

But at Gusii stadium during Jamuhuri Day, Ongwae maintained his commitment to push for electoral reforms and more inclusive government that is being advocated by ODM.

"As ODM, our concern is electoral justice and nothing else. This is the road we want to follow as a team.

"Joining Jubilee is not an option for problems facing Kenya. Our focus is on decemtalised system of governments," he said.

By Tuesday, only 15 counties had passed the controversial Bill which had been termed illegal by Attorney General Githu Muigai.

NASA enjoys super majority in both Kisii and Nyamira Counties despite the laxity to pass the crucial Bill.
