Governor John Nyagarama is viciously fighting claims that he dumped his party leader Raila Odinga through a phone call.
On Tuesday, the second term ODM boss insisted that he is not obliged to support party activities adding that its an obligation of the secretariat.
"Those peddling rumors about me should stop. They only called asking for facilitation of a meeting yet we do pay monthly subscriptions," he said.
Early this week, Raila fired warning at party rebels adding that the disciplinary committee will deal with a number of them.,
According to former Embakasi South MP Ishrad Sumra, Nyagarama disowned Raila when he made a critical phone call to him.
"He says that he is no longer in ODM and that we should stop bothering him. He even dismissed the party leader," he said.
Last year, Raila depended heavily on Raila's influence and the 74-year-old governor would be seen in various rallies with him.
