Sometimes back in 2014, Nyamira deputy governor Amos Nyaribo fell victim of unsuspecting prostitutes in the streets of Kisumu.
But when interviewed, Nyaribo, who has since taken over as acting governor following absence of his boss John Nyagarama, denied the claims.
"Those are rumours being spread by my opponents. I was not robbed by prostitutes as they claim," he said.
But a police source had claimed that the second term deputy governor lost three phones each valued at Sh75, 000, unknown amount of money and his clothes to the dangerous girls at a lodging.
He had traveled to Kisumu to attend a meeting organised by MCAs before the unfortunate incident.
"He has reported the matter but says that the items were stolen from his official vehicle. He does not want to say the truth," the police source had said.
And this week, Nyaribo has been at the center of attraction after he reportedly sacked County Secretary Eric Onchana by forging Governor John Nyagarama's signature.
Nyagarama, who is serving his second term, jetted out of the country on Friday for further treatment in the US.
