A son to Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has been accused of sabotaging service delivery within the county government by opposing reinstatement of certain officers who had been sent for a compulsory leave.
County Secretary Erick Onchana and 8 Chief Officers are yet to report to court despite a ruling by Kisumu Labour Realtions court.
And Momanyi Nyagarama, who was recently appointed as Director Public Administration, is said to be against the officers over their links with Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.
"He is working closely with Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo and he thinks some of those officers are hostile.
"I understand that he links them with Ben Momanyi thus standing against them,'' said a senior official who did not wish to be mentioned.
Already, Nyagarama has been summoned by court for delayed implementation of the court order and could face contempt of court charges.
With Momanyi keen to capture the gubernatorial seat in 2022, Nyaribo is said to be monitoring all his moves.
The current impasse has literally rendered the county government dysfunctional with the governor's son refusing to respond to the claims.
