Governors John Nyagarama (Nyamira) and James Ongwae (Kisii) featured prominently as big beneficiaries of Raila Odinga's popularity who snubbed him at Uhuru Park.
Despite only Hassan Joho of Mombasa and Amoth Rasanga of Siaya attending, most NASA governors had initiated passing of People's Assembly motion.
Ironically, Nyagarama and Ongwae widely campaigned in presence of Raila, at the region believed to be a tossup.
"I will ensure the bill is passed but the two gentlemen should have a dialogue to solve the impasse," Nyagarama said moments to swearing-in.
Conspicuously, the two snubbed a rally in Homa Bay despite featuring in such crowd pulling events in the past.
"This is an indication that they were against the swearing-in. They are serving their second terms and are keen to be moderates," says Gideon Mamboleo.
Prior to August elections, Raila toured Gusii region for a record five times and each moment he visited, he campaigned jointly wit the two.
Apparently, the two are yet again embroiled in election petition cases with Nyagrama set to know his fate on February 28th.
