Joho said ODM is the only party that can meet the interests of the community.

Speaking on Wednesday in Budalangi Constituency when he joined Raila Odinga in his tour of the Western region, the governor said the party is still strong, despite the recent withdrawal of Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba and his Funyula counterpart Paul Otwoma as party officials.

"As the deputy party leader, I would like to urge the residents of Western Kenya to vote for ODM as your interests are best protected under the Orange party," he said.

Joho further asked those who hold divergent opinions and thoughts not to hesitate to join the party, arguing that it is the only party in Kenya that upholds social democracy.

"In ODM, we stand for ideology. ODM brings all Kenyans together under the umbrella of social democracy. All are welcome into the ODM fold including those with divergent views," he said.
