The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) has hit out at its National Super Alliance (NASA) counterparts over unending threats and warnings.
In an interview on Radio Jambo Wednesday, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said that the party will nolonger condone threats from the Amani National Congress (ANC), Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) and Ford Kenya parties, over its political moves.
He said that the party remains independent, despite being in the alliance, and will, therefore, not embrace intrusion.
''ODM will not be subjected to any more threats from our NASA counterparts. We never surrendered our independence when we entered into the alliance and will, therefore, not condone anymore questioning and condemnations on our operations,'' said Sifuna.
This comes only moments after the Musalia Mudavadi-led ANC bloc fired shots at the party.
Representing the 3 formations, Mudavadi expressed the trio's displeasure with ODM's recent change of attitude, saying that they will not be subjected to its disrespectful behavior.
''We find ODM's conduct highly reprehensive and want to make it clear that we will not take anymore of such behavior going forward,'' the former Deputy Prime Minister said in a press conference in Nairobi Tuesday.
ODM has seemingly landed on the receiving end as a result of its recent peace pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta and participation in Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula's ejection from the Senate Minority Leader slot.
