The ODM party has resolved to conduct repeat primaries in two constituencies, following a ruling by the Appellate Court.The court for the repeat nominations in Nyatike Constituency for the position of the National Assembly seat.ODM National Elections Board (NEB) picked Friday 23, June as the date for the repeat of the nominations."The Board therefore wishes to urge aspirants for the party ticket in the constituency to obey party nomination rules and observe law and order during the exercise," said NEB chairperson Judith Pareno.In a statement, she noted it was in the interest of the Board and the party, that the Nyatike primaries issue was resolved once and for all to allow the party to prepare for the campaigns in the constituency.The Board further issued a stern warning to aspirants to exercise high level political maturity, warning that anyone who would be involved in acts of violence would be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the party constitution ."The NEB has merged polling stations and a list will be supplied by the Returning Officer who is already on ground," Pareno said, Thursday.She said the same applies to Endebbes Constituency in Trans Nzoia County whose repeat polls will be held on Saturday 24, June."Polling stations will open at 6:00am and close at 5:00pm," concluded Pareno.
