A dispute over ODM nominations in Kilifi county assembly is being handled by the party and the electoral commission IEBC in Nairobi, an official of the political party said.

The party's branch vice chairman Kilifi branch, Teddy Mwambire, said the matter is being handled and things will normalize soon.

"The ODM Kilifi branch corrected the gazetted names and the list to the IEBC  in Nairobi", said Teddy.

Teddy noted that the electoral commission ignored the party's list from Kilifi and decided to use a different list to gazette the list of nominees.

This comes as presidential campaign intensify across the country.

The ODM party leader Raila Odinga is expected to face off with Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta in  a repeat of presidential poll slated for October 26.

But, Raila has threatened to boycott the polls if IEBC does not meet opposition's demands.
