Following the recent defections of some ODM officials, the party's Kisii branch has come up with strategies to reclaim its former political glory days.
In a meeting attended by party leaders and branch officials on Sunday, they set strategies on how to consolidate the local community’s vote bloc in approaching the impending elections.
Kisii county Governor James Ongwae denied the existence of cracks within the party branch by saying that the party is stronger than ever in the region.
Ongwae said the issue of vacancies in the branch did not arise because the office bearers will resign in due course according to the elections laws.
He announced the mounting of continuous meetings to plan on garnering the entire support from the area electorate in the August elections.
Branch organising secretary, Amos Andama disclosed the agenda of the meeting was to ensure, ODM swept all the elective positions in the county.
