In an interview on Radio Citizen on Tuesday, Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa faulted the push by ODM senators to eject the Ford-Kenya party boss from his Senate Majority Leader slot.Aladwa called for a more sober approach, observing that Wetangula could be a victim of the recent disagreement between opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) member parties, over Raila Odinga's peace pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta.''I honestly do not think this is the best route for us to take. If the ongoing offensive on Wetangula is, in any way, resulting from the NASA disagreement, then proper and decent conflict resolution methods should be employed,'' said the lawmaker.Aladwa noted that the struggles and infighting within the alliance are unhealthy for its existence. He urged the alliance leadership, which includes ODM chief Raila Odinga and his Amani and Wiper counterparts Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka respectively, to come out and calm the situation, failure to which NASA could be headed to its grave.''The principals must act with speed and address the ongoing hostility between NASA member parties. They will be to blame should the alliance succumb to its current shortcomings,'' added Aladwa.
