The ODM national Treasurer Timothy Bosire has urged party leaders to ‘sacrifice’ more to cement Raila Odinga’s presidency.
The Kitutu Masaba MP on Friday said all aspiring and elected ODM leaders should put the presidency as ‘key target’ by popularising the party’s candidate at the grassroots.
He also differed with leaders appearing in Raila’s national campaigns and doing little at the grassroots to increase the presence the veteran leader.
“I have no doubt that he (Raila Odinga) will be the next president of the country but I want to challenge leaders to sacrifice more to solidify his presidency. We have to do more assignments by making the presidency a key target from where we come from,” he said.
“I am not against the idea of moving around with him across the country but it’s equally important to replicate the same from your own backyard and other places. That is the only way we can be helpful,” he added.
Raila, a former Prime Minister, has unsuccessfully vied for the top seat three times and is expected to make his last attempt in 2017 polls.
