Leaders from the Orange Democratic Party,one of the member parties of the opposition union National Super Alliance (NASA) have vowed to drum up support for the alliance and ensure that it registers a victory in the approaching general polls slated for August.

Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi where  unoposed aspirants and incumbents of the party were issued with direct nomination certificates on Monday,the leaders promised to take it upon themselves and put in effort towards achieving the goal.

They however maintained that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is the better Presidential flag bearer candidate on the alliance ticket.

''We are ready and are going to traverse the country to ensure that NASA wins and Raila Odinga is sworn in as the next President after the August 8 polls,'' said Homa Bay county Women Representative Gladys Wanga.

The comments were echoed by Turkana County boss Josphat Nanok who promised to pour all votes from the Turkana region into the opposition basket.

''We will deliver Turkana to ODM and NASA,'' he said.

Others who received the certificates include Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Balambala lawmaker Abdikadir Aden.

NASA also brings on board Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Party,ANC under the leadership of Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula's Ford-Kenya.The alliance is keen on unseating President Uhuru Kenyatta in the general elections.
