ODM leaders have vowed to help their party leader Raila Odinga achieve his dream of ascending to state house in next year’s elections.
Speaking during a series of rallies in Kitui and Nairobi, the leaders maintained that Cord will beat Jubilee in next year’s elections.
Led by party Deputy Leader Ali Joho and Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, the ODM brigade toured different party of Nairobi, culminating in a rally in Mathare Constituency, which is under the leadership of Steven Kariuki, who recently decamped to Jubilee.
"The journey for taking Mr Raila to State House begins now. ODM has the will and means to fulfill its pledges. The lives of many Kenyans who are unemployed can only be improved by someone who understands their plight," said Joho.
The leaders took issue with President Kenyatta’s phrase of ‘eating the meat’ which were made during the burial of William Ole Ntimama, accusing the president’s team of ‘feasting’ as poor Kenyans languish in poverty.
The ODM brigade likened the 'meat' to corruption dogging the Jubilee administration, including the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal and the Eurobond billions.
