Two Orange Democratic Movement leaders have warned the electoral commission over an alleged plot to lock them out of the polls.
Malindi parliamentary aspirant Aisha Jumwa accused the IEBC of plotting to lock her out of the August 8 elections.
Jumwa, the Kilifi Woman Representative, was on Friday summoned by Malindi IEBC officials and warned that she risks being barred from running over allegations of hate speech.
Governor Amason Kingi asked IEBC on Saturday not to interfere with the campaigns.
"Efforts to have me barred will be met with hostility from the electorate," she said in Malindi, as reported by The Standard.
The outspoken Woman Rep’s name is among those listed by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), as politicians being monitored for hate speech and incitement.
